DNSA Principle


The estimation of reducing sugar can be done by DNSA method. It is a colorimetric method in which DNSA (yellow) is reduced to ANSA (orange) by a reducing sugar.
A set of standards of known concentrations are made and then the unknown concentrations can be extrapolated by plotting a graph of concentration v/s absorbance.
